Bottom Line

If you let it open up a bit, you’ve got a really nice red for under $10 (Naked Angel price).

We’ve rated this pleasant everyday red pretty highly, in part due to its $9.50 price from Naked Wines (Angel price).

This is a young wine so definitely let it breathe for 45 minutes before drinking and you’ll find both an improved nose and a better depth of flavor. Bill Small, the popular New Zealand winemaker, made this wine on sabbatical here in California and it’s got solid fundamentals that will allow it to improve over the next year or two.

Round ripe fruit but not overly sweet makes this red blend very quaffable. Hints of licorice. Well balanced alcohol.
